Veeco's Story

The business was founded by Vincent (Vinny) Arciero in 1968, running one van out of a gas station in lower Manhattan’s meat packing district.  Local merchants that had a need for air cargo pick-up at local airports provided the opportunity to begin a trucking business.  Over the course of the next 47 years the company has grown, first under the leadership of Vinny until the sale of the business to his son, Michael in 1984.  Since then Michael has led the expansion of the size and scope of the business to include the three divisions that exist today.

Michael Arciero, President and CEO

Michael purchased Veeco Services, Inc., a predecessor company to Veeco Holdings, LLC, from his father in 1982.  During the past 35 years Michael has successfully grown the business more than 10 fold, extending its operations to include expanded services to a diversified customer base. 

Richard Lynch, President/COO

Richard is responsible for all operational activities at Veeco.  Richard joined Veeco in 2010 with 22 years’ experience in warehousing, distribution and logistics services.  His most recent position prior to joining Veeco was as the Senior Logistics Manager for Menlo Worldwide Logistics in Breinigsville, PA.  In that role he directed all functions and activities for 6 distribution centers with almost one million square feet of warehouse space.  Richard also served four years active duty as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps in the logistical branch, including active deployment during Desert Storm. 

John Murphy, CFO

John is responsible for all financial, accounting, tax and regulatory matters for Veeco.  John has been with the company since March, 2007.  John’s experience includes 5 years with Grant Thornton CPA’s in their NY office and more than 35 years in senior financial executive positions, including 13 years with TNT Ltd in its container shipping division.

Brian Perry, SVP - Warehousing and Logistics

Brian led the start-up of our Sundance division in 1996.  Brian is responsible for Veeco’s Customer Service activities and contributes his leadership to assisting our warehouse supervisors and managers in order execution.  Brian also has a central role in the ongoing operation and development of our warehouse, transportation and EDI systems.  Brian has been with Veeco for 19 years.  His prior experience includes four years with Decker Transport as a freight broker and seven years supply and logistics support while serving in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of Desert Storm.

Conrado Nunez, Vice President of Operations

Distribution and Trucking. Conrado is responsible for directing the trucking activities of Veeco Services.  During his more than 30 years with Veeco, Conrado has worked extensively in almost every area of Veeco’s operations and is an excellent resource for our customers in every area of our business. 

Cesar Constante, Vice President of Sales and Business Development

Cesar is responsible for customer acquisition and customer retention for all aspects of the business with a main focus on the Veeco Crest CFS business. His career at Veeco began as a Warehouse Associate and, from there, moved up the corporate ladder, spending more than 30 years with the company. He has held several management positions during his tenure before moving into Sales.

Michael Guarino, Vice President of Operations

Michael is responsible for the daily operations of Veeco’s container freight station activities.  He has been with Veeco for 15 years and has more than 25 years’ experience in operating and managing US Customs bonded CFS facilities.

Chris Arribi, Vice President of Operations & Sales

Chris is responsible for the daily operations of Veeco’s brokerage division, Sundance Logistics. He coordinates all carrier partnerships as well as setting up all pricing programs through brokerage for our customers. He has been with Veeco for 10 years, doing brokerage for 15 years, and in the transportation industry for close to 25 years.

Will Nunez, Vice President of Warehouse Operations

Will is directly responsible for all warehouse operations. He coordinates and oversees all daily warehousing activities which includes loading & unloading trucks, inbound receivings, pick pack & ship process, and consolidation. Will's career with Veeco began when he was a teenager, assisting his father during the weekend. He officially joined the Veeco team in 1995 after completing his schooling.
